Pool Surface Angle

Created 2015

Acrylic on linen

I came back to this part of the pool to see more of what inhabited this angle of water. A shadow from the wall fell across the surface bringing in more colors of the near surrounds, lit by the setting sun. Unlikely colors for water. The turquoise that normally took up residence scurried away in the ripples. Water had turned to mud and yet its fluidity brought me to the bottom to more colors while escaped bubbles found calm as they approached the distant wall.
