The Mill at Eymet

A friend of mine owned this mill.

We had come to see it and discuss her idea of its future. She had her spa/restaurant plans drawn up, a general clean out completed, but no permit. Hopeless. She'd have to sell.

And this building was saved from her commercial modernization. I was inwardly delighted as it settles in so well, sitting in its river bed. I look into the dark doorway that looks out over the lily pad carpet and I sense the enduring essence sighing.
